Vice President, Land Surveying
Norm serves as Vice President of Land Surveying. He is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor with over 50 years of experience. Norm was first introduced to surveying while in the Marine Corps, serving as a section chief, surveying battery positions (field artillery) and working in Fire Direction Control. This experience led him to a career in land surveying. He attended both Purdue University and Indiana University as well as taught surveying classes at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. Currently, he is the President of the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors and Past President of the Indiana Professional Surveyors Foundation.
Norm has designed a plethora of residential subdivisions beginning with boundary and topographic surveys, design of infrastructure, and the creation of plats. He has over 35 years of field experience, performing everything from residential lot staking, construction layout, and complex boundary surveys. He is known as a problem solver… providing corrective measurements so the ill-fitting dome on Market Square Arena would match column lines, fitting a building within a building under close restraints at Allison Transmission, and aligning the steel trusses and developing measurement standards during construction of Lucas Oil Stadium.
