Weihe Engineers Landscape Architecture Studio assisted the owner of a 27-acre property on Indianapolis northwest side. The existing property consisted of old, mostly rental homes with a good portion of the property in a jurisdictional flood zone. The owner was able to rezone the property to mixed-use zoning and the resulting land plan was developed to take advantage of high visibility of the Rockville Road corridor and the site’s natural assets. The plan also developed links to an Indy Parks property to the east that could eventually be developed into a public open space amenity for future residents and business use.
