Job Shadow Experience with Opportunities for Positive Growth

Weihe Engineers hosted a job shadow student in early December through Opportunities for Positive Growth. The student is currently taking classes at Ivy Tech and discovered a passion for math and science. Opportunities for Positive Growth helped him contact companies in industries where he can apply this passion to develop real world solutions. The job shadower had provided Opportunities for Growth with career interests as wide ranging as accounting or auditing, to civil or mechanical engineering or becoming an electrician. This was an excellent opportunity to provide a future job seeker exposure to our industry while helping him make an important career decision.

He spent time with three of our departments: land surveying, commercial engineering and residential engineering to observe and ask questions about AutoCAD and how a career working within AutoCAD would be a beneficial and rewarding opportunity.
