This neighborhood park had not seen significant improvement since initial construction in 1997. The new park design includes a comfort station, updated and accessible playground, shaded seating areas within the playground, adult fitness equipment, improved park entrance and parking lot, and a walking path.

Demographic data and park use show that this neighborhood has a large population of small children. The park playground was specifically designed with these children in mind. An emphasis on low-level play equipment, musical instruments, and a half-court basketball area kept this user group in mind. The design also takes future expansion into mind. Areas were designated for future shelters and sail shade structures, as well as more adult fitness equipment along the trail.
