Crossing the Finish Line
Ball State University desired to create a new plaza area between Scheumann Stadium and the Alumni Center, to the John W. and Janice B. Fisher Football Training Complex. The new plaza vision was for concrete with patterned scoring/joints with a football theme, broom finishes and potentially accent paver units and lighted bollards. A key component was the drainage of this area and connecting into an existing storm sewer system. The current plaza area had been damaged from the construction of the new building addition at the football complex. Additional sidewalk improvements were going to be necessary as well to tie everything back in to the grandstands and access points to the building addition. The final product is an inviting plaza to the training complex and Weihe Engineers was proud to be a part of this project with Ball State University.
